PhD in the area of biophysics & radiology, Dr. Olivier Balédent is currently Assistant Professor in Amiens University Hospital in France. He’s heading the medical image processing department and the Bio Flow group in CHIMERE UR7516 research team CHIMERE_UR7516
After a Master’s degree in Informatics in Amiens, he passed a postgraduate diploma in the field of image processing. He passed his Phd in 2001 at Jules Verne University. The thesis subject was already about CSF and blood flow imaging using MRI technique. Now inside Amiens ‘University Hospital, with clinicians he continues to develop CSF research and applies non-invasive hydrodynamic approach in clinical practice. He is also Biophysics’ teacher at the medical school of Amiens. This year, with friends, he proposed “imaging neurofluids” as a new field in the international society of magnetic resonance imaging.
