Dr. John Ruge has almost 30 years of experience treating both adults and children with Chiari malformation and syringomyelia.  He is Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Advocate Children’s Hospital. He received his neurosurgical training at Northwestern University in Chicago. He founded the Midwest Children’s Brain Tumor Center in 1997 and serves as it’s Director.

Dr. Dimitrios C. Nikas is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Advocate Children’s Hospital.  He received his neurosurgical training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.  Upon completion of his residency he specialized in pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Memorial Hospital – now Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL.  He practices in Advocate Children’s Hospital – Oak Lawn Campus for 12 years.
