Dr. Cyrille Capel

Dr Capel (MD; PhD) is currently a neurosurgeon at the CHU Amiens-Picardie in France and a member of the CHIMERE UR7516 research team in the BioFlow group.  Following his meeting with Dr Balédent, he became passionate about cerebrospinal fluid pathologies. He quickly integrated phase-contrast MRI into his field of investigation and diagnosis of hydrodynamic pathologies of CNS.

At the end of his medical studies, in 2015, he obtained his medical thesis already related to hydrodynamic pathologies and entitled “Evaluation of the dynamics of cerebrospinal fluid before and after treatment of Chiari malformations“. In 2017 he passed his PhD in Picardie – Jules Verne University. The thesis was entitled “Physiopathology of intracranial flow“.
