Dr. Shobhan Vachhrajani

Dr. Shobhan Vachhrajani

Shobhan Vachhrajani, MD, PhD, FRCSC is a pediatric neurosurgeon and clinical epidemiologist at Dayton Children’s Hospital. He hails from the United Kingdom and Canada, having completed medical school at the University of Saskatchewan, and residency in neurosurgery at the University of Toronto.  Dr. Vachhrajani completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the University of California San Francisco.  He has been at Dayton Children’s since 2018, and currently serves as the director of surgical research. Dr. Vachhrajani is also an associate professor in the department of pediatrics at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton.  His research interests are in outcomes after traumatic brain injury, is also very active in teaching research methods and statistics to faculty members and trainees.  Clinically, he maintains a diverse practice with interests in Chiari surgery, epilepsy, and craniofacial surgery, in addition to providing care to acutely ill children who need emergency neurosurgery.  Dr. Vachhrajani is married to his wife Jennifer of 10 years, and has two children, Aryan aged 8 and Chelsea aged 5.
