Dr. Thomas Gruffi describes his work analyzing the outcomes of anesthetic management for pregnant women who also have a Chiari I malformation. This is a very important lecture to watch for any Chiari patients who are concerned with having a safe pregnancy, wondering about epidural safety and efficacy, etc.  This is a must watch for expecting Chiari moms!

Dr. Gruffi and his colleagues did a retrospective study, analyzing the outcomes of 185 vaginal and Cesarean deliveries. Bad outcomes were very rare and since the study spanned multiple medical centers, it provided great data on the safety of anesthetics and pain management during birth for women with Chiari.
