Preparing for Your Advocacy Meeting on the Hill: Strategies for Success

Julie Rauch, R.N., and Board Certified Patient Advocate, guides our unite@thehill attendees in crafting their patient stories for their upcoming congressional meetings. Julie provides tips and best practices for efficiently delivering both your personal story and what exactly we are asking our representatives to support which benefit our community.   This was presented at the Unite@theHill wellness seminar. This biennial event held in/near Washington, D.C. includes a half-day of wellness seminars to help patients and families self-advocate. The next day is a full day of meetings with those patients’/family members’ federal representatives on Capitol Hill, which helps patients and families advocate for millions of others.
