The more we learn about Chiari malformation, the more complicated diagnosis and treatments seem to become. Individual characteristics of specific sub-populations of Chiari patients can make appropriate surgical treatment difficult in cases of spinal instability and more. The videos below accurately describe what is more often being colloquially described as “Chiari 1.5”– the complex Chiari.
The Complex Chiari Malformation | Douglas Brockmeyer, MD (2017)
The Complex Chiari Malformation | Tsulee Chen, MD (2016)
Dr. Chen’s lecture was part of a Consider Chiari presentation held in Cleveland, Ohio that provided Category 1 CME credits in joint partnership with Cleveland Clinic. Thank you to all who helped get this symposium off the ground!
