Your generous support has enabled Bobby Jones CSF to achieve a platinum level distinction, and singularly to be invited to co-chair the Non-Profit Advisory Council for the Joint Sections Pediatric Executive Committee , to participate in the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Guidelines Committee, and to write the evidence-based Chiari malformation guidelines. Under the leadership of David Limbrick, the $2.8 million PCORI pediatric surgical trial was completed. Through the efforts of Dr Brockmeyer and colleagues, the Foundation has established the Chiari Clinical Research Consortium, engaging the leading institutions in the U.S.A. and Australia to collaborate on the Chiari Surgical Success Scale in developing the first international dataset of Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, and related disorders. Toward refining diagnostic criteria and clinical efficacy of cranio-cervical stabilization, the Foundation has completed the Delphi-process multi-institutional pediatric meetings, is looking forward to the publication of consensus results, and is now embarking on the Delphi-process to accomplish a consensus for adults. This is a crucial study to ensure that the population with hereditary disorders of connective tissue receives the most effective care.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, and Scientific, Education & Advisory Board, we hope to see you in Rome, Italy on the 6th and 7th of November!
