Dr. Jamie Hill gave a live lecture at the Medical University of South Carolina on Ocular Complications Associated with Chiari Malformation and Associated Disorders. Though Chiari patients are not his main focus, Chiari malformation, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and associated disorders do cause ocular symptoms due to pressure issues, hyper-mobility, etc. Dr. Hill shows the most common neurologic symptoms and their presentation from an ocular standpoint, why these issues may occur, how the problem is diagnosed and how he treats it. He covers lens subluxation, headaches and migraines, carotid cavernous fistula & other popular ocular complications within this patient community.
Dr. Hill also speaks about and takes questions on eye issues both from a general standpoint and within the Chiari and associated disorders community.
This lecture was given at Medical University of South Carolina on November 11, 2021. (2021)
