Orthostatic Intolerance & Epidural Interventions
2019 CSF Research Colloquium
JW MARRIOTT - SAN FRANCISCO, CA - OCTOBER 19, 2019
Many patients with Chiari malformation, syringomyelia and related disorders like dysautonomia often see neurosurgeons to diagnose and treat their disorders. Neurology, however, is an important medical discipline that will help us to better understand these disorders.
Dr. Adnan Qureshi talks about his research and treatment of patients with orthostatic intolerance and various cerebral venous draining issues. Specifically, Dr. Qureshi works with patients who present with postural orthostatic intolerance syndrome, commonly called "POTS". In addition to his excellent explanations of the conditions, he also updates the group on his work studying the effectiveness of epidural treatments for these patients.
This presentation was made as part of the 2019 Research Colloquium. This meeting was meant to disseminate new research in Chiari, syringomyelia and related disorders and was hosted by the Bobby Jones CSF on October 19th in San Francisco, California. (2019)
