SPRINGHILL SUITES DOWNTOWN - SAN DIEGO, CA - APRIL 13, 2019
The 2019 Think Tank research meeting brought together thought leaders in the field of Chiari and related disorders, featuring presentations of novel research in Chiari, syringomyelia and more.

Dr. Dominic Marino discusses his work studying the outcomes of foramen magnum decompression with cranioplasty in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (CKCS). Chiari and syringomyelia can occur with shocking frequency in this breed-- upwards of 80 percent!

This longitudinal study takes a look at long-term successes and failures of Chiari decompression to treat CKCS dogs with Chiari-like malformation and syringomyelia.

This presentation was given at the 2019 Bobby Jones CSF Think Tank Meeting in San Diego, CA. (2019)
