Video Poster
ST. LOUIS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL - ST. LOUIS, MO - AUGUST 10, 2019
Headaches are the most common symptom associated with Chiari malformation (sometimes called Arnold Chiari malformation). Headache expert Mary Epperson, RN, CPNP describes the difference between migraines, headaches and Chiari headaches.

She also explains how to identify the things that bring those headaches on. Once those triggers are identified, she describes different interventions to help prevent or get rid of those headaches. Interventions include lifestyle changes like dietary manipulation or exercise, neurological counseling and pharmacologic interventions based on each individual patient's history.

This presentation was made at the 2019 Chiari Family Workshop held at St. Louis Children's Hospital. (2019)
