Calling it a "seemingly simple", but "deceptively complex" disorder, Dr. Aria Fallah, UCLA Pediatric Neurosurgery, describes the unique challenges and similarities in treating children and adolescents with Chiari malformation. He provides an excellent explanation of what a Chiari is, and what other issues (like syringomyelia) can severely complicate diagnosis and surgical treatment, particularly in the pediatric population. Dr. Fallah presented this talk at the first educational lecture and CSF Chapter meeting held in Los Angeles, California at UCLA. (2017)
