Dr. Aubrey Verdun discusses the results of this randomized control trial (RCT) that tested the effects of ketamine as a tool to combat pain in patient who underwent total hip arthroplasty. This research study was not directly related to Chiari, syringomyelia, EDS or other disorders that cause chronic pain-- but the findings can have important implications for how pain is managed in patients with these and other chronic conditions going forward.
