International CSF Hydrodynamics Symposia

The Bobby Jones Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation and The Monkton Institute are continually proud to co-sponsor the International CSF Hydrodynamics Symposium.

This symposium an international meeting consisting of engineers, bioengineers and mathematicians. Researchers come together to discuss the current theories on pathology of various cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) disorders. Participants discuss CSF flow disruption, and how those fluid dynamics in patients with conditions like Chiari malformation and syringomyelia cause symptoms. Ultimately, the goal is to understand the underlying fluid dynamics to propose the best possible treatments for conditions like Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, hydrocephalus and other CSF disorders.
