Amanda Harris

Director, Interim Director

Amanda Harris lives near Memphis, TN with her husband, Parker, and three children, Porter, Oakley, and Presley. Amanda became involved with Bobby Jones CSF after her daughter, Oakley, was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia at the age of 2. After several medical scares and a long journey to discover her diagnoses, they traveled to New York for a life-saving 4 hour surgery in March of 2022. After talking with Bobby Jones CSF staff the same week, Amanda knew that her family was committed to volunteering with the organization to support their work and dedication to advocating for other patients like Oakley.

Amanda received her B.S. in Psychology at Union University and her MPA in Public and Nonprofit Administration from the University of Memphis. She has several years of experience in fundraising and development with nonprofits that focused on healthcare, animal welfare, and economic development. Amanda is currently planning her third unite4answers event and has raised over $35,000 since volunteering with Bobby Jones CSF. Her family also attended unite@thehill in 2023 to help lobby for the RARE Disease caucus and patient advocation.

In her downtime, Amanda loves being outside with her family and 3 rescue dogs. They love to travel, especially when it involves boating and fishing.
