Dr. Frim has recently stepped down from his Neurosurgical practice and his responsibilities as Chief of Neurosurgery at the University of Chicago to devote himself to medical research and education as Director of the Margaret Hackett Family Program, also at the University of Chicago.  In that role he will lead a group of clinicians and investigators to pursue opportunities to improve aspects of direct patient care, bedside clinical research, and novel approaches to congenital anomalies of the central nervous system – the focus of the Margaret Hackett Program.  Dr. Frim hopes that this work, which encompasses illness such as Hydrocephalus, Chiari Malformation type 1, Myelodysplasia, and many others, will prove fruitful in the years to come.
